Mykel Beekman
Mykel specialises in construction and real estate law. His work includes negotiating and drawing up or amending contracts, giving advice about them, and representing clients in the event of conflicts. His clients include contractors, real estate developers, real estate investors as well as entrepreneurs who occasionally come into contact with construction law or tenancy law.
In addition, Mykel is very experienced as a trustee in bankruptcy. With this background, he is also able to provide excellent advice in crisis situations. He has already concluded various (compulsory) agreements with creditors, including the tax authorities, so that the company could be continued in a healthy manner.
He has also represented many parties that have been confronted with the bankruptcy of a purchaser or supplier.
Education
Mykel studied Dutch Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where, in 2002, he completed his studies in the fields of private law and business law.
To be able to advise his clients even better, he successfully completed a Real Estate Law specialist course in 2010. Via the specialist association, he follows annual refresher and advanced courses.

About Mykel
Mykel is known as an ambitious lawyer who works in a practical and decisive manner, focussing on the client’s interests. He is also very involved socially and organises various activities for different charitable causes. In his free time, he likes to play golf and go windsurfing.
Registration
Mykel has registered the following principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
- Real estate law
Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
